Palm Beach County Library System is seeking customer focused staff.  We are a busy, fully automated southeastern Florida library system serving a population of 865,541 with a Main Library, 15 branches, Outreach Services and 500 employees. Position:LIBRARIAN I (Youth Services) (2 Positions)

Salary:$41,471 Annually
Department:Library/Branch Public Service
Hours:40 Variable hours/week, including evenings and weekends 
Other:Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.

Plans and conducts children's services that include creative programming and storytelling. Provides reference assistance, collection development and readers' advisory services for toddlers, school-age children, young adults and parents. Promotes the library to schools and represents the library in the community.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree in Library Science accredited by the American Library Association (ALA).

PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE WITH: Public library youth services; using the internet. Also desirable: Knowledge of children's literature (must specify on application).
