Position: LIBRARIAN I (Youth Services)
****PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITY: Must be a current, permanent-status County

Salary Range: $41,471 to $66,046 Annually. Pay Grade 28.
Department: Library/Branch Public Services/Acreage Branch
Hours: 40 Variable hours/week, including evenings and weekends
Other: Ability to lift 30 pounds preferred. Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.

Plans and conducts children's services that include creative programming, storytelling, reference, collection development and readers' advisory services for toddlers, school
age children and young adults. Promotes the library to schools, gives tours of the library and represents the library in the community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree in Library Science accredited by the American Library Association.
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE WITH: Public library youth services; using the internet; knowledge of children's literature.
