The Palm Beach County Library System’s “Writers Live!”
is a new annual event that brings the community together
with authors and their books. Discover new authors and
longtime favorites as we host both local and national
authors during special events.
“Murder They Wrote,” our first event, features a day of
murder, mayhem, and mystery as professional writers
share their insights into their craft and the world of mystery
and crime fiction writing.
Crime Fiction Workshop: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Oline H. Cogdill, mystery columnist for the SunSentinel, leads a panel discussion featuring Florida
authors James O. Born, Lisa Unger, and Ted Bell. Discover the secrets to writing intriguing
crime fiction.
 Featured Speaker: Brad Meltzer: 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Brad Meltzer, best-selling author of thrillers and graphic novels, talks about his latest work, “The
Book of Lies.” A book signing and reception follows this thrilling presentation. Tickets available
beginning April 6. Two tickets per person. A book signing follows each program.
