In 2002, the U.S. Congress designated October as "Family History Month" to acknowledge people’s desire to research their family heritage and to recognize that "within our Nation’s libraries and archives lie the treasured records that detail the history of our Nation, our states, our communities, and our citizens." Genealogy continues to be one of the most popular hobbies, and libraries all over the world continue to provide the skills and resources people need to explore their family history.
The Palm Beach County Library System will have numerous activities throughout this Family History Month to give you what you need to start your research!
Discover Your History
The library has books, movies and even music that can spook the smallest of gremlins. Dig up zombie books from beyond the grave or unleash your inner monster with one of many events the library has to offer. It's a monster mash! Get excited this year with the classic Halloween traditions we have come to know and love. Take your loved ones to the pumpkin patch and pick out the perfect pumpkins. Bravely conquer the scariest of haunted houses. Sip on apple cider in the back of a hay bale tractor ride. The possibilities are endless!

Are you a migraine sufferer? If not, chances are you know someone who can benefit from this app.
Designed by neurologists and data scientists, Migraine Buddy offers the most intuitive features available in a migraine-tracking app. It is also the first global virtual study conducted on migraines. It has more than one million downloads and is top rated by both patients and doctors with features that automatically track weather pressure and sleep.
Many users of Migraine Buddy are wanting to identify triggers to help prevent future attacks, and the app allows you to select from a wide range of potential triggers including food, noise and weather. It is more than a migraine journal, Migraine Buddy helps you quickly record and identify all aspects of an attack including symptoms, medications, frequency, duration, location, pain intensity and other lifestyle factors. After prolonged usage of Migraine Buddy, you are better able to understand your own migraines and can better detect commonalities in triggers, frequency and environmental factors. Many users use Migraine Buddy to track headaches instead of just migraines.
Migraine Buddy allows users to share their migraine status with your "buddies" within the app. You can share advice and stay informed of a loved one’s migraine condition.
Take control of your migraines. Migraine Buddy is available for both iOS and Android.
