Quickbyte: Airbnb

Summer is the perfect time for a family vacation, but there is always the pesky question of where to stay. Will you and your family cram into a tiny hotel room? Or will you pay more to have a little extra room in a suite? A simple solution: Airbnb.

Airbnb offers you the ability to rent anything from a private room to an entire home. The difference is, you're renting from the individual who owns it, not a hotel or company, leaving the prices much more budget friendly.

Airbnb allows you to plan ahead for future trips. You can read reviews for each location, as well as see how past guests rated cleanliness, communication and overall value. You can narrow your search by price and type of home, how many beds or baths it has, and even choose your ammenities. Are you traveling with a pet? Need a place with a crib, kitchen, Wi-Fi or a hair dryer? Simply add those to your requirements.

On top of providing you with a great place to stay, Airbnb can suggest places to eat and activities to explore.

You can start your vacation online or on your phone with the app for either iPhone or Android.
